National Testing Agency (NTA) will be organizing National Eligiblity Entrance Test (NEET 2025) examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS Courses in government and private medical colleges in India. The NEET Rank card is required at the time of counselling. Due to the Paper Leak  NEET 2024, student are demanding to re-conduct the NEET exam. As per the new sources, NEET 2025 may be held in Phase-I and Phase-II similar to JEE (Engineering Entrance Examination). Final decision is yet to be decide by Ministry of Education & Health & Family Welfare.

NEET 2025 online registration form will start from mid-September 2025 (due to Phase-I and Phase-II NEET examination). The official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET will upload NEET 2025 Brochure, Age Limit, Syllabus, Important Dates, FAQ, Online form submission, Form fee, Eligibility and age relaxation for EWS, OBC NC, SC and ST candidates.

The NEET 2025 will be organized by NTA National Testing Agency, which is Independent, autonomous organization established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. If the Govt. of India (Education Ministry) finds some irregularities in NEET 2024, then some hard action can be taken.

NTA to be replaced by Medical Entrance Testing Agency (META)

The Ministry of Education and the Government of India is all set to separate the Medical Entrance Testing Agency (META) from the National Testing Agency (NTA) due to the negligence in conducting NEET 2024 (Paper Leak, Grace Marks etc. allegation). A large number of petition has been filed in the Supreme Court. The hearing of the cases is on July, 8, 2024.

What changes will be there in NEET 2025?

Following are some of the changes can be made in NEET 2025 Exam.

  1. NTA to be replaced by META
  2. Phase-I: Prelims and Phase-II: Advance are the two exams that will be offered.
  3. It is also recommended to administer the exam online in order to address the Paper Leak allegations raised in NEET 2024.

NEET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The student need to check the minimum eligibility criteria (age, education) to appear for the NEET-UG 2025 examination. It is mandatory to full fil the minimum eligibility criteria. The age relaxation is applicable as per the rules laid down by Government of India.

For MBBS & BDS Course

Age Limit: The student has to complete 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before December 31 of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course.

For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS born on or before December 31, 2008
For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD Category

Upper Age Limit: There is no upper age limit as per Letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 09 March 2022

Education Qualification:

  • Must have individually passed physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English.
  • Minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology.

Provisional Candidates: 

  • Students appearing for Class XII in 2024 can provisionally take NEET 2024, subject to fulfilling conditions later

SC/ST/OBC Aggregate Relaxation: 

  • SC/ST/OBC candidates have a relaxed aggregate requirement of 40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology

Pursuing MBBS/BDS Abroad: 

  • Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India must qualify NEET 2024 to pursue MBBS/BDS from a foreign Medical/Dental Institute

✅ Who will be organizing NEET 2025 Exam?
Ans: Till now, NEET Exam were organised by the National Testing Agency (NTA), but due to allegations in NEET 2024, the Govt. may setup a seperate Medical Entrance Testing Agency (META). It may be proposed by Ministry of Education.

✅ What is NEET-UG 2025 Exam?
NEET (UG) stands for National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for undergraduate medical education. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) since 2019 with the approval of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Education.

✅ Which courses are under NEET exam?
EET (UG) is conducted as per the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses.

A total of 13 language NEET 2025 question paper mediums are there. These are: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, and Urdu.
